CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have claimed forward Matt Robinson off of the ECHL waiver list.

Robinson, 24, is in his fourth professional season, having played twelve games with Johnstown (ECHL) this season.  He has scored three goals and added six assists for nine points and 13 penalty minutes.  He has a pair of three point games this season, including a goal and a pair of assists in his last game with the Chiefs versus Wheeling on Sunday (November 14).

The six-foot-one, 186 pound native of South Surrey, BC, has played all four pro seasons in the ECHL.  Robinson has appeared in 143 career games with 46 goals and 43 assists for 89 points and 130 penalty minutes.  He spent his first two years with Alaska (ECHL), before being traded to Johnstown before the start of the 2008-09 season.

Matt Robinson is not related to Cyclones rookie forward Brett Robinson.

The Cyclones travel to North Division foe Toledo for games Friday and Sunday.
